Vapes On A Plane?

Vapes On A Plane?

Can I Bring vapes on a plane?

I think at this point we can all agree that anyone not living under a rock, or inside a bunker constructed from 7 feet of pure concrete with no access to the outside world except a single hot rod magazine from the 1950's has heard of, or experienced vaping to some extent.

But for the sake of that uninitiated minority, Vapes or E-cigs are electronic smoking devices used for tobacco, herbs, wax, concentrates, or E-juice depending on the unit. It's kind of like a cigarette that you can recharge!

Now as convenient as these devices are, travel guidelines have come into question, especially for flying. So is it ok to take your Vape on a Plane? Or will the air marshall tackle you in the aisle and drag you off kicking and screaming? Ok, maybe it won't be as bad as all that but here us out!

Well, Can I Bring my Vape to Grandma out in Florida?

Cutting right to the chase, traveling with E-Cigs perfectly fine, but the FAA ( Federal Aviation Association ) states that all battery products must be kept in carry-on luggage and that includes your triple coil, air convection, fuel injected gizmo with 496 temperature settings.

To be clear you can transport your vapes on a plane but certainly CAN NOT use them on the flight or in the airport.

What about the E-Juice that goes with it? Like any other liquid in carry-on luggage, your E-Juice must not exceed up to 100ml. Make sure to not have any more or it will be confiscated. Marijuana at this time is, of course, illegal to take onto a flight so if you are from a legalized state make sure it is completely clean before travel.

Put your device through security screening, similar to how you would treat your cell phone. Remember to keep them separate from your other belongings, and keep the juices and used tanks (must be emptied before going inside an airplane) in sealable plastic bags.

If your device has replaceable batteries, it should be stored in a safe battery case to ensure batteries don’t come into contact with keys, loose change, or other wet or metallic items.

Traveling with a full tank is not recommended. Do not check-in a full tank, as the change in air pressure will cause the contents to leak from the tank’s airflow. Carry-on is a better place to store them as there is less air pressure difference. Be sure to pack e-juice and used clearomizers in a resealable plastic bag.

Vaping inside an airplane is not allowed. This can create false alarms for flight attendants and pilots, as the sensitive alarm systems within airplanes may confuse the heavy vapor for smoke. Even discreet vaping and smells can get passengers to panic and for you to get reported to authorities. Not worth the risk!

When traveling for long amounts of time, it is always suggested that you bring extra e-liquid, coils, batteries, and chargers to ensure that your vape will be working well and maintained properly while you’re away.

If you wish to bring your Dry Herb or Wax Vaporizer it must be completely clean and have not trace of MArijuana as it is a federal offense and not legal in Canada or some states as of right now.

So feel free to grab your trusty vape as you head out to visit your folks downstate just nmake sure you follow the guidelines to ensure a smooth trip!
